It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Nicole Ndlovu Umhle on August 31st, 2025, at Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin. Nicole, a beloved daughter of Nkosikona (Kosi) and Sitholumusa (Hilda), and cherished sister to Adriel, was a bright and gentle soul whose loss has deeply affected her family, friends, and community.
Nicole resided at 20 The Millrace, Burrin Road, Carlow, and was a beloved member of the Askea National School community. Her warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. As a devoted daughter and sister, Nicole’s presence brought immense love and happiness to her family. Her passing leaves a heart-wrenching void in the lives of her parents, brother, extended family, relatives, friends, and classmates.
The family invites all who knew Nicole to pay their respects as she reposes at her home, 20 The Millrace, Burrin Road, Carlow (Eircode R93 H0A4), from 5 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, September 4th. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 am at The Holy Family Church, Askea. Following the Mass, the funeral procession will proceed to Carpenter Bros Cremation Chapel, Shamrock Square, with the cremation service scheduled for 12:30 pm.
In honor of Nicole’s memory, the family kindly requests that only family flowers be sent. Donations, if desired, may be made to Ronald McDonald House at Crumlin Children’s Hospital, supporting the care and comfort of children and families facing medical challenges.
Nicole’s gentle soul and loving nature will be forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, love, and warmth will continue to inspire her family and community. The loss of such a young and cherished life is deeply felt, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this incredibly difficult time.
